Water points were set up at various points around the Normandy bridgehead. At this water point at Cruelly, north east of Bayeux, Driver SH Bevan of Osbaston, Monmouth (right) comes to fill a water trailer from the pump operated by Sapper J M Gilmartin of Normanton, Yorkshire.
