Model British officer of the 86th (Royal County Down) Regiment of Foot, 1858 (c)
This model depicts an officer of the 86th from the period of the Indian Mutiny (1857-59). During that campaign, the regiment took part in the campaign in Rajputana and Central India, including the storming of Jhansi in 1858, where it won four Victoria Crosses.
