Turkish prisoners being marched to a camp at Cape Helles, 1915
Photograph, World War One, Gallipoli (1915).
This photo was probably taken following the Second Battle of Krithia (6-8 May 1915) when the Allies made another unsuccessful attempt to break out of their beachhead at Helles. The location is possibly Gully Ravine near 'Y' Beach.
One of 53 British official photographs taken during World War One.
