Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA) welfare unit badge, 1939-1945 (c)

Cloth badge with the ENSA insignia designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944), surmounted by the word 'Welfare'.

The Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA) was established in 1939 to provide entertainment for military personnel during World War Two (1939-1945). ENSA operated as part of the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes (NAAFI).
