A Scimitar CVR(T) light reconnaissance tank in the snow. The Light Dragoons rehearse a demonstration exercise at Robertson Barracks in Norfolk, prior to the arrival of King Abdullah II of Jordan, in March 2004.
In the early 1980s the future King Abdullah II of Jordan trained at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served with the 13th/18th Royal in West Gemany. He served in Jordan's Army and Air Force and commanded the country's Special Forces, before succeeding his father, King Hussein, as King of Jordan in 1999.
In 2003 King Abdullah II was appointed Colonel-in-Chief of the Light Dragoons by Queen Elizabeth II.
