Scrapped vehicles including Soviet-era armoured personnel carriers in the compound of Forward Operating Base Robinson in the Sangin District of Helmand Province. British 'Snatch' Land Rovers can also be seen parked within the walls of the base. FOB Robinson was formerly known as FOB Wolf. US forces in the area renamed it in honour of Staff Sergeant Christopher Robinson, 20th Special Forces Group, who was killed in the district in March 2006. British forces including 3rd Battalion The Parachute Regiment took over the base in June 2006.
