Frederick Cecil Cracknell, No 1 Unit, Army Film and Photographic Unit, shirtless, wearing slouch hat, working on a typewriter.
No 1 Unit, Army Film and Photographic Unit, deployed to North Africa in 1942. It consisted of 32 film makers and still photographers under the command of Major David Macdonald. The unit went on to work in Syria, Palestine, Cyprus and Iraq.
