Cap badge, The Royal Leicestershire Regiment, 1951 (c)
This badge consists of a 'Royal Tiger' passant above a scroll inscribed with the title 'Royal Leicestershire Regiment'. These are surmounted by a scroll bearing the honour 'Hindoostan'. Both the tiger badge and the honour were awarded to the regiment in 1825 in recognition of its conduct in India in between 1804 and 1823.
