Cap badge, The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment, 1898
This badge depicts the White Horse of Kent standing on a scroll inscribed with the motto 'Invicta' (Unconquered). The horse was the symbol of the old Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Kent. Below is another scroll inscribed 'Royal West Kent'.
