Four fishing lines, 1990 (c)

Part of a personal survival kit belonging to Sergeant 'Andy McNab', DCM, MM. McNab commanded an eight-man Special Air Service (SAS) team under the call sign 'Bravo Two Zero' during the Gulf War (1990-1991).

When rations can not be sourced, a Special Forces operator needs to be able to live off the land. These fishing lines and hooks can be used to catch fish and also birds. The snare wires can be used to set traps for small animals or booby traps for enemy soldiers.
