Dekoratie voor Trouwe Dienst (Decoration for Devoted Service), 1899-1902
Instituted in 1920, this medal was awarded by the Union of South Africa to officers and men of the two former Boer republics for distinguished service during the Boer War (1899-1902). Awards had to be individually claimed on prescribed forms and were named with rank, initials and surname of the individual.
