Rubber Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) over boots, 1986

These boots were part of a protective uniform that guarded against NBC attacks. The boots and suit could be worn for days and were comfortable enough to fight in. During the Gulf War (1990-1991), British soldiers repeatedly had to don their NBC suits following alarm warnings of Iraqi chemical attacks.
