British commanders in Burma, 1942

From left to right they are: Major-General James Scott of 1st Burma Division, Sir John Wise, Chief Secretary to the Governor of Burma, General Harold Alexander, Commander-in-Chief of British Forces in Burma, General Sir Archibald Wavell, Commander-in-Chief India, and Lieutenant-General William Slim, commander of Burma Corps.

From a collection of photographs collected by Brig Walter Lunt, Royal Army Educational Corps and Maj Gen James Lunt, 1923-1990.
