An Allied cargo ship transporting Japanese prisoners of war from Singapore to the jungle island of Rempang. Over 100,000 Japanese prisoners captured in Malaya and Singapore were sent to Rampang as they could not be accommodated elsewhere. Rempang is about 25 miles south-west of Singapore.
From a collection of 185 photographs of Japanese, Chinese, Indian, British, German and American soldiers, aircraft and ships at sea.
