Lieutenant John Spring, 9th (The East Norfolk) Regiment of Foot, 1834 (c)

John Spring became an ensign in the 12th (East Suffolk) Regiment on 19 February 1829. He became a Lieutenant in the 9th (East Norfolk) Regiment on 12 September 1834. His death is recorded under in the 1837 Army List. A regimental history records a number of deaths from cholera in the 9th Regiment at around this time when it was serving in India, and John Spring may have been one of these.
