'Comradeship! Territorials'
Recruiting poster by Albert Bailey, 1920.
Following the end of World War One (1914-1918), the units of the Territorial Force (TF) were disbanded, having served in France and Belgium, Egypt, Palestine, Gallipoli, India and many overseas garrisons. Over 100,000 TF troops were killed in action. On 7 February 1920 a greatly reduced TF was reconstituted and a recruitment drive began. In October 1920 this new force was renamed the Territorial Army.
