Celox gauze coated fabric dressing in sealed olive green plastic packaging, 2008 (c)

Manufactured by Med Trade Products Limited, this dressing was part of a medical kit belonging to Lance Corporal Chris Schivas of 16 Medical Unit who served in Afghanistan during 2007-2008.

The Celox clotting bandage is pushed deep into the wound to pack and seal bleeding vessels. It is impregnated with crushed shellfish and minerals that seal injured blood vessels.
