'Talk in Here Kills Out There', 1944
Lithograph poster designed by Abram Games, printed by J Howitt and Son, for HM Stationery Office, 1944.
Games hoped this poster would discourage careless talk among wounded and sick service personnel in military hospitals. He designed it symbolically and with sensitivity as he thought it unfair to show a realistic battle scene to men who had already been through the horror of war.
From a collection of 45 posters from World War Two (1939-1945).
