'Army, the worthwhile job', 1946
Coloured lithograph recruiting poster, after Abram Games (1914-1996), 1946.
This was one of the last posters designed by Games for the British Army in 1946. He had been promoted captain in 1942 with the title Official War Poster Artist and during the next four years produced around a hundred posters. Games always believed that simple designs had the biggest impact on people.
From a collection of 45 posters from World War Two (1939-1945).
