Ernest Wilfred Senior (known as Wilfred) with his wife Rebecca, their daughter, Sheila, and two sons, Ernest Edward (Ted) and his older brother, who was born and died in India.

Ernest Wilfred Senior served as a sub conductor in the Supply and Transport Corps of the British Indian Army and the Indian Army Service Crops. His son Ernest Edward (Ted) followed in his footsteps, joining up in around 1929 and seeing service with the Dorsetshire Regiment, the Indian Army Ordnance Corps, and the Ordnance Branch of the Independent Indian Army.
