Coffee cup saucer, 'La Grande Guerre', 1919 (c)
Made by Lanternier and Company of Limoges, France. It is decorated with images by the artist Jacques Marie Gaston Onfroy de Breville, popularly known as 'Job'.
From a 12-piece porcelain coffee service, 'La Grande Guerre'. The pieces show British and French soldiers brewing and transporting tea or coffee on the front line during the World War One (1914-1918).
Inscribed with a poem in French and decorated with laurel leaves and steaming cups and mugs.
