Honeywell T-Hawk (Tarantula Hawk) Micro Air Vehicle, 2013
T-Hawk, in operation since 2007, uses hover-and-stare capabilities and real-time video documentation to support advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. In Afghanistan (2001-) T-Hawk is often flown ahead of route clearance teams to identify and monitor Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and ground signs using a telegraphic scope to zoom in on the ground.
