Chevette Remote Control Vehicle (RCV) chassis, 2009 (c)
Remote Control Vehicles (RCVs) are used by Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams to search for, examine and render safe Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from a distance. The Mini Chevette RCV was designed to conduct IED Disposal (IEDD) operations in confined spaces and has been used on light scale deployments on Operation TELIC in Iraq and Operation HERRICK in Afghanistan. Upgrades on the previous version included adding a manipulation arm and wheels and improving onboard cameras, power supply and robustness.
