Triage pack with triage labels, 2013 (c)
Triage cards were used in Afghanistan (2001-2014) to establish the severity of a wounded soldier's injuries before their transfer to Camp Bastion. A 'T1' casualty had the most life-threatening injuries and must be treated immediately. Army medics circled relevant icons on the card so that information about injuries could be recorded and passed on rapidly.
