Afghanistan Operational Service Medal with Operstion Herrick ribbon and Queen's Commendation emblem, 2013 (c)
The Afghanistan Operational Service Medal was introduced in January 2000 and was awarded for service specifically in Afghanistan (2001-2014). The ribbon is made up of a broad central red stripe, flanked each side by a stripe of royal blue and one of light blue, to represent the three services, with an outer stripe of light brown to reflect the landscape of Afghanistan.
