Multi-terrain pattern (MTP) 'Camelbak' hydration system, 2009
The 'Camelbak' was a backpack containing a three litre capacity reservoir or 'bladder', attached to a hose that allowed the wearer to drink hands-free.
MTP camouflage is designed to blend with the range of environments in Afghanistan (2001-2014) and was developed after extensive laboratory tests and field evaluations, which included aerial and scientific photography to provide the right colours and brightness for the new pattern.
