Soldiers Separation Allowances, 1915
This poster (number 72) was published by the Parliamentary Recruiting Committee in March 1915. A Separation Allowance was a portion of a soldier's pay which was matched by the government and sent to his dependants to make sure they were not left destitute while he was on active service during World War One (1914-1918). This poster explains the various rates available.
