Eagle Eyes Action Man, 1983 (c)

This Action Man wears the combat uniform of a British Parachute Regiment soldier and comes with a beret, boots and webbing. The figure is armed with a model L1A1 Self Loading Rifle.

To heighten realism and improve play, the 'gripping hands' of the figure are made of soft, rubbery vinyl. This innovation was introduced in 1973 and followed the introduction of 'realistic' flocking hair in 1970. The 'Eagle Eyes' mechanism, invented in 1976, was housed in a slightly larger head and is operated by a simple lever at the back of the neck which moves the figure's eyes back and forth. The 'Eagle Eyes' replaced painted eyes.
