Toy hand grenade, 2014 (c)

This toy hand grenade was designed as part of a military fancy dress costume. Pressing the handle sets off an explosive sound effect.

The design of the toy grenade is based on the classic design of the 1915 Mills bomb; a grooved cast iron 'pineapple' with a central striker held by a close hand lever and secured with a pin.
