Cap badge, all ranks, The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, 2015 (c)
The bronze badge incorporates several characteristics inherited from its predecessor regiments. The Elizabethan Dragon came from The Buffs and the Hampshire Rose from that county's regiment. The garter and motto 'Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense' (Shame on him who thinks evil of it) is taken from the badge of The Royal Sussex Regiment. The Prince of Wales' feather plumes and coronet originated with The Middlesex Regiment.
