Oshkosh Heavy Equipment Transporters, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, 2008

The Oshkosh 1070F 8x8 Heavy Equipment Transporter replaced the Scammel Commander as the British Army's heavy tank transporter in 2001. With alterations made to meet European standards, the first 90 vehicles were delivered by early 2004.
