Prince Edward, The Duke of Kent, as Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, presented new colours to the 1st Battalion at Tidworth Polo Ground, Wiltshire, on 23 April 2016.
Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, served with the Royal Scots Greys (2nd Dragoons) and was on active service from 1955 to 1976. He served in Hong Kong and Cyprus and was briefly deployed to Northern Ireland. After his retirement from the Army the Duke of Kent was promoted to major general and then field marshal.
