A British soldier's body armour, Iraq, 2003
Digital photograph by Giles Penfound, 24 March 2003.
British soldier's body armour hanging on the bumper of a Land Rover during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The oil spots on the paint work of the vehicle were the result of exposure to fine oil particles in the air, created by burning oil wells, sabotaged by retreating Iraqi forces.
One of a collection of digital photographs relating to Operation TELIC, Iraq, 2003.
