Helmet, combat vehicle crewman, 7th Armoured Brigade, Operation GRANBY, Gulf War, 1990-1991

These helmets were fitted with a Clansman Radio headset, which would then plug into the vehicle's radios and intercom system. The helmets were produced in a green finish, however this example has been painted with sand coloured vehicle paint. The owner has marked the helmet with the desert rat emblem of the 7th Armoured Brigade and slogans 'Straight to Hell!' and 'The Melon Twister', as well as the name 'Bob'.
