The Royal Regiment of Scotland was formed in 2006 by the amalgamation of a number of Scottish regiments. Its 3rd Battalion. a light mechanised force, was formed from the famous Black Watch regiment.
From a collection of 200 A3 portrait photographs from the 'Soldiery' exhibition and book by Rory Lewis, winner of the Portrait of Britain award 2017, 2018 and 2019. As a project, 'Soldiery' featured leaders and soldiers from a range of iconic regiments, capturing the evolving face of the 21st century British Army.
