The Royal Lancers was formed in 2015 by the amalgamation of the Queen's Royal Lancers and the 9th/12th Lancers. It was renamed the Royal Lancers (Queen Elizabeths' Own) in 2017.
From a collection of 200 A3 portrait photographs from the 'Soldiery' exhibition and book by Rory Lewis, winner of the Portrait of Britain award 2017, 2018 and 2019. As a project, 'Soldiery' featured leaders and soldiers from a range of iconic regiments, capturing the evolving face of the 21st century British Army.
