Combat helmet, Virtus armour and load carrying system, 2018 (c)

Virtus System Combat helmet with cover, visor and mandible guard, made by Source, Israel, 2018 (c).

The Virtus helmet provides soldiers with blunt force, blast and ballistic protection. The mandible and visor can be fitted to provide face protection when soldiers are in open vehicles. To ensure a comfortable fit and minimise movement, the helmet is fitted with an internal net, an adjustable chin strap and a fit band dial at the back.

The helmet cover, in Multi-terrain Pattern (MTP) camouflage, has velcro patches and elastic loops to attach scrim and camouflage. The sculpted rear does not interfere with the body armour and bergen when in a prone position. The helmet is also lighter that the Mk 7 helmet it succeeded.
