Paul Griffiths was a Special Forces corporal during the Operation BARRAS hostage rescue in Sierra Leone (2000). He recalled: 'my role was to install and test tactical satellite communications onto the CH47 aircraft taking part in the operation. Once this was complete, I moved forward to Lungi Camp where I provided tactical and strategic communications during the operation. I remained as part of the recovery team and was one of the last to leave theatre.'
