Grenadier Guards starting work at a mobile testing unit in Murphy's scrapyard, Camden, London, June 2020
Pen and ink and watercolour by George Butler, 2020.
One of ten drawings recording the Army's contribution to the management of the COVID-19 pandemic as part of Operation RESCRIPT, 2020.
The Army set up mobile testing centres across the country in support of the NHS as part of the management of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here, soldiers of the Grenadier Guards are seen setting up in the morning and putting on PPE before the public arrived for pre-booked appointments at a drive-through testing centre in London. Over two days they completed nearly 300 tests for COVID-19.
