Aerial photograph of Romsey, probably taken during a training mission. Romsey Abbey, or the Abbey Church of St Mary and St Ethelflaeda can be seen centre right of the photograph.
From an album of 66 aerial photographs taken by Observer Edward Albert Augustus Manthorpe (1892-1939), Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force, 1917-1918 (c). Manthorpe died in the Royal Star and Garter Home for Disabled Sailors and Soldiers in 1939.
