Lady Gough, wearing the Maharajpoor Star, one of four ladies who received this decoration for being present at the battle on 29 December 1843

Oil on board, artist unknown, 1843 (c).

The other ladies present were Lady Smith, wife of Sir Harry; Mrs Curtis; and Miss Gough (later Lady Grant). Sir Hugh and Lady Gough were married in 1807; she died in 1865, and the portrait is dated with the assumption that she was at least 20 when she married and so would have been 56 or so in 1843; her hair is still brown (however, the head is one of the areas which has been greatly retouched).
