Battle dress blouse, 1940 Pattern, worn by Sergeant Max Kahn, Pioneer Corps, 1944 (c)
Kahn was a German Jewish refugee who fled Nazi Germany in 1938. He served with the Pioneer Corps as part of 21st Army Group's GHQ and Line of Communication troops during the North West Europe campaign.
Above the left breast pocket medal ribbons for the 1939-45 Star and the France and Germany Star 1939-45 are visible. Formation badge are also located on each upper sleeve.
