Presentation sword given to Gentleman Cadet W M Marter for his study and conduct whilst at the Royal Military College, 1886

Presentation sword, Henry Wilkinson, 1886.

The spear-pointed blade is engraved with the cypher of Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales' feathers and the maker's name of the maker. The blade is inscribed, 'To Gentleman Cadet W. M. Marter for Proficiency in Study and Exemplary Conduct at the Royal Military College Decr 1886'. The guard follows the Rifle Regiment pattern.
