Civilian adapted bike used by the British Army 1960s.

This motorcycle was manufactured under contract by Triumph Engineering Co Ltd Coventry and came into service with the British Army in January 1965. It served in Germany with 20 Armoured Brigade Provost Unit (1965-1968) and 22 Light Aid Regiment Royal Artillery (1970-1977). In August 1977 it went to 3 Field Workshop where it remained until it was struck off the military census in 1979. It then went to the Army School of Mechanical Transport at Leconfield.

This model was introduced to meet the British Army's requirements for a more modern motorcycle for despatch and general liaison work. It was not produced in great numbers but was used by all three services throughout the 1950s and 1960s until replaced by more powerful machines.
