'A Soldier's Wife', 1890

Lithograph after Cress Woollett. Published by the 'Christian Globe.', 1890.

The lithograph depicts a vicar consoling a grieving woman who is missing her husband. whilst her child plays with toy soldiers. A portrait of a soldier hangs on the wall behind.

In a sequel piece, the artist depicts the woman's joy at the soldier's return.
