Letter written by Captain Philip Wodehouse, 15th (The King's) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons (Hussars), 19 June 1815
Sent to his beloved, Miss Parry, this letter was written while resting on a drum from the field of Waterloo the day after the battle. The brief note informs her that he suffered no harm in the battle and he closes by saying 'if a cannon ball hits me tomorrow I believe I will die thinking of you'.
