Sikhs of 1st Battalion, 13th Frontier Force Rifles, in Guard Order, for hot weather, 1938 (c)

In the 1922 re-organisation of the Indian Army, the five regiments of Punjab Infantry were amalgamated to form five battalions of the 13th Frontier Force Rifles. 55th Coke's Rifles (Frontier Force) became the 1st Battalion.

From an album of 328 photographs compiled by Captain H G L Brain, 6th Royal Battalion, 13th Frontier Force Rifles, Instructor of the Royal Military College, Sandhurst.
