Vehicles include Scimitar CVR(T) light reconnaissance tanks and Spartan CVR(T) armoured personnel carriers. D Squadron deployed to Afghanistan in 2006 for Operation HERRICK 4, and again in 2008, as part of 16 Air Assault Brigade, for Operation HERRICK 8. The Squadron would return again in 2010 for Operation HERRICK 13.
