Multi-terrain pattern (MTP) 'Camelbak' hydration system, 2009

The 'Camelbak' hydration system is a backpack containing a 3 litre capacity reservoir or 'bladder', attached to a hose that allows the wearer to drink hands-free. MTP camouflage is designed to blend with the range of environments in Afghanistan and was developed after extensive laboratory tests and field evaluations, which included aerial and scientific photography to provide the right colours and brightness for the new pattern.
