Pinzgauer utility vehicle on the back of a Foden Improved Medium Mobility Load Carrier DROPS vehicle. A soldier, wearing goggles and a keffiyeh, armed with a General Purpose Machine gun, provides 'top cover' from the roof of the cab.
Members of 19 Combat Service Support Battalion, along with troops from 4 and 31 Close Support Squadrons and Territorial Army soldiers from 152 (Ulster) Transport Regiment (Volunteers), deliver supplies to Forward Operating Bases Nolay, Gibraltar and Sangin in the Helmand River valley. Force protection for the convoy was provided by troops from 2nd Battalion, The Mercian Regiment.
